Marcus A. Garand, RD, is the lead outpatient dietitian at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey. He received a B.Sc. in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics at the University of Vermont in 1998 and completed a one year Didactic Internship at Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Affairs Hospital in Chicago in 1999.

Marcus has been in private practice since 2001 as a Sports Nutritionist, providing individualized nutrition plans for clients seeking to maximize athletic performance. He has developed thousands of personalized nutrition plans in the areas of sports nutrition, weight management and various disease states. Marcus has demonstrated an unparalleled ability to provide clients with cutting edge nutrition information and education based on current scientific research. Marcus firmly believes that nutrition, specifically during an athletic event as challenging and dynamic as triathlon, is highly individualized, and a vital component to success.

Marcus is a member of the American Dietetic Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. Marcus excelled as a high school track and field athlete and remains active by cardiovascular and strength training.
