Price elasticity of supply, anyone?
One day after adding two more events to the 70.3 calendar (Lonestar and Mooseman), WTC announced today that Miami, Florida is home to the newest in the 70.3 distance event series. From ironman.com:
“Ironman 70.3 Miami will quickly establish itself as a destination event and is expected to sell out quickly.The inaugural event will reach capacity at 2,000 athletes. There will be 50 qualifying slots available to the 2011 Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 in addition to a prize purse of $36,000 for distribution among the top male and female professional finishers.”
