I’m a big fan of resolutions, whether they be New Years related or not, but since we are on the cusp of a new year, I would encourage us all to make a New Years resolution that will see us committing to actively engaging in being consistent with our training.
Consistency in training absolutely has to be the number one focus of all us in order to achieve our goals in triathlon. Without it, you open yourself up to what I like to call “question marks:” unanswered thoughts, ideas, possibilities, and what if’s. By eliminating your “question marks” with consistently arriving to your workouts prepared, focused on the tasks at hand, and doing your very best in each session, you will remove the questions marks that are within your control. That means that when race day arrives, you are prepared.
Resolve to commit to consistency, and unleash your potential in the New Year!
