53,000 participants. #1 rated 10k in the U.S. by Runners World Magazine. Live entertainment every few hundred meters. What more could you ask for?

I had the good fortune to participate in the BolderBOULDER yesterday on a trip to Colorado. My overall experience was excellent, from packet pick-up, to race expo, start organization, the course and finish area support. I even had the unique opportunity to be entertained and officially started by heart surgeon/talk show phenom Dr. Mehmet Oz. The course itself loops through the neighborhoods of Boulder, CO and finishes with a single, modest climb to Folsom Field and the CU football stadium. The weather was perfect with blue skies and sun. Having arrived from sea level only one day earlier, I thought altitude might be an issue, but I settled into a relaxed pace and just took in the scenery and the experience.
