C Is for Common Sense: Diet and Exercise

Having spent years studying different aspects of obesity with some of the top minds in the field, I cannot help but being amused when I read about some of the ridiculousness that swirls around these days in the great effort to lose weight. One of the most recent NYT Well Blog posts, “C Is for Cookie” is a perfect example.

It’s because of my interest in obesity and my background in triathlon and nutrition that I created the Tri2Lose Program. The name, and the concept, came to me while out running in Central Park. It wasn’t long before we built a team of nutrition and weight loss experts (dietitians) and coupled that with expert triathlon coaching to help our clients improve their diet and train for their first triathlon while, amazingly, losing weight at the same time! It is a great feeling to watch someone go through this process and change not only their lifestyle but also their outlook on life.

I wonder if the guys behind the Cookie Diet or the Grapefruit Diet or the Yo-Yo Diet will feel this way in 5 or 10 years. Regardless, I propose that our Tri2Lose clients race the cookie monsters in a triathlon of any distance: anytime, anywhere. Contact us if you want to lose weight, change your lifestyle and become a triathlete today.
