As we all know, the Nautica New York City Triathlon takes place with the spectacular backdrop of the NYC skyline starting in the Hudson River and winding its way along the West Side Highway finally finishing in majestic Central Park. What I find many people do not know, however, is that there are many other well-organized, more accessible and less expensive events in the NYC area. Afterall, at $225 an entry, the Nautica NYC Triathlon is not exactly affordable.
Trifind.net has a thorough listing of all events in the NYC area. From duathlon in Prospect Park to triathlon in Central Park to Ironman Lake Placid, they’ve got it listed. If anyone has any feedback on some of the “non-headline” NYC area triathlons, I’d love to hear from you.
